An Imaginary Cage - Excerpt

Music and project: Luigi Mastandrea; music and production: Sara Lenzi. Project and video: Michele Pellegrini. Photos by: Anna Paola Lenzi, Roberta Sardi, Nunzio Talamo and Michele Pellegrini.

It’s an hommage to John Cage and his loop-based, i-Qing related techniques of composition. The sound part is a reconstruction of John Cage “Rozart Mix”, the video part follows the same patterns and rulese based on original photographs. The installation is diplayed on a two- parts wooden panel which works as projection surface and, thanks to an innovative audio diffusion technique, it’s trasformed into a speaker and becomes also the audio diffusion system.
